If any concern arises about the well-being and development of a child, we will start to monitor him or her more closely. For this, we will make use of a thorough monitoring instrument called KIJK! Any concerns will be discussed with the parents so we can decide together what kind of support the child might need. We will draw up a plan to see how our methods and procedures can be implemented within our organisation to help the child in the right way.
If it turns out that our organization cannot give the child what it needs, we will refer the parents to an appropriate authority.
If Nannies suspect domestic violence, neglect or abuse, they are required to follow the steps in the childcare protocol ‘child abuse and inappropriate behaviour’. They will use the reporting procedures for domestic violence and child abuse.
